The band originally formed in 1987 to help produce music products generated by Joe Hesh, Jeff Nicholson,
and Greg Rockwell, in an effort to raise funds for a youth group missions trip to Africa. The group of 3 formed
a techno-pop music group originally called Mission On Banjo Project to continue creating alternative music for
youth and young adults of various styles and personalities (and no, we don't play banjos; the house with our
studio was called the "Mission" and it was located on Banjo Drive). The band name was shortened to "MOB"
and Ted Saul, bassist, joined the group in 1990.
It's continuing mission was to provide MUSIC, MESSAGE, MATERIALS, and METHOD, for youth and youth ministry.
Their concert/conference ministry has challenged teenagers across the country on subjects like self-image, the
spiritual life, pre-marital sex and dating, anger, parent/teen relationships, missions, prayer, and understanding
teen rebellion.
Although the band is no longer performing, the music lives on. Please see the Discography below.
